Want to put on mass, but should I do a mini-cut first? : GYM


I’m 5’6″ and about 142 lbs. I want to really put on mass and get up to about 150-155, but I’m currently unhappy with my physique because I’m carrying around some stomach area fat because my diet has always been bad and filled with processed crap, sugar, etc. I don’t like how my gut area protrudes out whenever I eat. The only time I have a flat stomach is first thing in the morning. I’m thinking maybe I should do like a 1-month cut, go into a caloric deficit and try to eat better to try to shed some body fat, and then go on a 3-4 month bulk. Would you recommend this? I don’t want to just end up fat by going right into bulking since my diet isn’t going to be that great.
